Epiphone's Dot was introduced as an affordable alternative to Gibson's venerable ES-335 and has since delighted guitarists around the world. The introduction of the Epiphone Dot - named for the fretboard markings and overall simplicity of the guitar - opened the availability of the resonance and sustain of the semi-hollow design to a wider audience because of its low cost.
The Dot is built with premium woods: Laminated Maple on the body with a Mahogany center block and a Mahogany socket neck with a Rosewood fingerboard. The fabulous semi-hollow sound is empowered by a pair of Alnico Classic humuckers controlled by a volume pot and a tone pot for each pickup.
